It’s been tugging at my heart for a while now. There’s a bunch of reasons why I decided to launch it, but the main one is because I wanted to help you understand why managing stress isn’t the best way to reduce stress, and what to focus on instead when it comes to true stress management. Plus, I wanted a way to deliver tons of value to you and show you how to go from stuck, stressed, and spinning your wheels and give you the tools and strategies you need for managing stress effectively so you can feel clear, focused, and in control of your life and your work. Ultimately, so you can live your purpose, know the most effective ways to relieve stress in your business, find more freedom, and feel more fulfilled.

So if it’s cool with you, I thought it’d be helpful if I share a little bit about who I am and why I do what I do to help entrepreneurs like you with managing stress in their business, and then we’ll dive into what you can expect to learn by listening to this podcast and what valuable strategies and ways to reduce stress you’ll walk away with to help you grow personally, professionally, and fall in love with your life and business again.
That’s because I used to be a workaholic. Managing stress felt impossible. I started my career in the corporate world of 9 to 5 and moved up the ladder quickly and had a ton of success. But it never felt like enough, I always wanted more. And slowly, without realizing it, I was so focused on being more successful faster that I became a slave to my work. Finding ways to relieve stress was nowhere on my radar, because I thought hard work was the only way to true success. Stress, anxiety, and overwhelm were my best friends. I thought it was just normal to feel that way, after all, what I was led to believe was that if I was willing to sacrifice now, I’d be able to enjoy my life later one day.
I lived, worked, and breathed for that one day. My life soon became all about work. Until one day, when a cancer diagnosis stopped me in my tracks. Suddenly, I wish I’d learned more about stress management and finding ways to reduce stress all those years.
Overcoming cancer at 25 was not how I expected to start my journey as an entrepreneur.
But that’s exactly where my story starts, because as I sat there in that cold, sterile exam room, that was the moment I realized that life is too short. That’s when I decided to quit burning myself out, feeling like I had to choose between having success or having a life I truly loved, and figure out how to have both.
I learned first-hand that my endless pursuit of success and lack of good strategies for stress management had come at a cost. Not the cost of late nights at my desk or the discipline it took to stay focused and get “just one more thing” scratched off my to-do list, nope. The price I paid for my success was my health, my friendships, my relationships, and all of the other things that truly mattered to me.
I’m forever grateful for that diagnosis, because facing this unimaginable challenge was not the end. It was my beginning.
My test literally became my testimony, and I walked away from my fast-paced career and became obsessed with figuring out how to work less, stress less, and enjoy my life in the here and now -- not wishing and working it away. But on my journey of healing, I wasn’t looking for better self care practices or typical stress management practices or more me-time. As ways to relieve stress.
I was searching for answers to a deeper question: I wanted to know WHY stress management and finding effective ways to relieve stress was so difficult for entrepreneurs. I wanted to know why overwhelm, and burnout happen in the first place, especially to people who are pursuing their passion and working toward their dreams.
At first the question really baffled me, because it’s common to think that the opposite is true: you’d think that pursuing our dreams would motivate us, inspire us, and energize us and needing ways to reduce stress would become irrelevant. But as I observed so many of my friends and colleagues fail at managing stress and break under the relentless pressure of their to-do list, it was clear that stress and overwhelm were merely symptoms of a much deeper root cause.
That root cause is what I’ve spent the past 6+ years exploring, researching, and discovering. The answer might come as a surprise, because despite what many people think and what our Western culture would have us believe, typical stress management strategies are not the most effective approach to managing stress. Even more importantly, feeling the constant pressure of stress and overwhelm should not be a normal part of everyday life. Stress and overwhelm do not come from having too much on our plates or too long of a to-do list. And most importantly, stress can not be “managed.”
The results of these discoveries is what led me to the work I do in the world today, teaching high-achieving entrepreneurs like you how to create a clear path to wild success without the stress, hustle, and hard work, where managing stress truly does become irrelevant. Where there’s no need for ways to reduce stress and stress management practices aren’t required, because the stress that was once there, is gone.
Life’s too short to waste any time feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and burnt out. Much less waste more time figuring out the best approach for managing stress that shouldn’t be there in the first place.
